How we handle personal data on this site, in plain language.

Renesoft AB · Reg. no. 559593-4489 · Last updated 29 September 2026

Who is responsible

Renesoft AB (org. no. 559593-4489), Hyllie Boulevard 6B, 216 26 Malmö, Sweden, is the data controller for personal data processed on renesoft.com, including the Rene Robotics pages. Contact: hej@renesoft.com.

What we collect and why

Contact form and email

When you write to us through the form or by email we receive what you choose to send: the topic you pick, your name if you give it, your email address, your message, and which page and language you used. We use this to answer you, to prepare a quote or proposal, and to keep a record of the conversation.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and following up business contacts (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You are not obliged to provide any data, but without an email address we cannot reply.

Hosting and security logs

The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details (time, page, browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors. If Cloudflare's protection against automated attacks is triggered, Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance) used only to tell people from bots; such a cookie is necessary for the service and needs no consent. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics

We do not run visitor analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If we add privacy-preserving, cookieless statistics later, this page will say so first.

Storage in your browser

Apart from the Cloudflare security cookie described above, the site sets no cookies of its own. It stores three preferences in your browser's local storage: your chosen colour theme, whether animations are paused, and which sky you chose (aurora or digital). This storage happens at your request and is needed to show the page the way you chose; it never leaves your device and is not used to identify you. No consent is therefore required under Chapter 9, Section 28 of the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (2022:482).

Who receives the data

We share personal data only with providers that help us run the site and read our mail, under data-processing agreements: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and delivery of form submissions), the email service that delivers form messages to our inbox, and our email provider. Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where needed, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless a customer relationship follows, in which case records are kept for the duration of the relationship and thereafter as required by the Swedish Bookkeeping Act (1999:1078), i.e. until the end of the seventh year after the calendar year in which the financial year ended (Chapter 7, Section 2). Hosting logs are retained only briefly by Cloudflare for security purposes.

Your rights

Under Articles 15–21 GDPR you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hej@renesoft.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), imy.se.

No profiling

We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles. The site is not directed at children.

Changes

We update this page when our processing changes and show the date of the latest version at the top.

Security and responsible disclosure

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability on renesoft.com, in one of our products or in a system we operate, tell us before you tell anyone else. Write to hej@renesoft.com with the subject “Security report”. Describe what you found, where, and how to reproduce it. Add your name or handle if you would like to be credited.

What we ask of you: act in good faith; do not read, change or delete data that is not yours; do not disrupt the service; and do not disclose the issue publicly until we have fixed it or 90 days have passed, whichever comes first. What you can expect from us: an acknowledgement within three working days, a status update within two weeks, a fix as fast as the risk warrants, and no legal action against research that follows these rules. We do not run a bug bounty programme. Machine-readable contact details are published at /.well-known/security.txt (RFC 9116).
